**all my shoots come with a print release**
I’m now offering a Newborn Mini as well as my regular Newborn Shoot. I also offer a variety of Milestone Packages that be purchased on their own or in combination with your newborn shoot if you’d like to receive a discount on the newborn session.
For my Newborn Shoots, I have everything. Wraps, hats, bows, outfits, blankets, backdrops, lighting, diaper covers, etc. Everything! When I do newborns, I typically do a variety of “prop shots” and “bean bag shots.” Prop shots are ones that involve the baby being put in some sort of prop; basket, bucket, bed, etc. with a backdrop. Bean Bag shots are simpler as they don’t involve props, but still involve quite a bit of posing time. I come up with a set up (blanket, either wrap or diaper cover, hat or bow, etc) and pose the baby as necessary on the bean bag (technically called a “posing puck”) until I get what I need.
Regular Newborn — Cost: $550 — Image Count:30-40 hi-res image files — Time: as needed
What I described above is my Regular Newborn. It gives you more variety in your final images, allows for you to include anything sentimental and allows for more time with family & sibling pictures.
Newborn Mini — Cost: $350 — Image Count: 10-15 hi-res image files — Time: up to 1 hour
This is a much simpler, smaller and quicker shoot. I still have everything, but it’s strictly two of those bean bag set up’s I described above, 1 family shot and 1 sibling shot (if applicable).
-Do we get to pick out the wraps, colors, bows, hats, set ups? No, but that doesn’t mean you have no say. If you’ve seen one of my newborn pictures and you’d like a similar one, definitely let me know. Have any colors you’d like to stick with? Yep, let me know. Have a certain type of newborn picture you want me to avoid? Let me know. Have an outfit you want me to use? Definitely send me a picture of it and I’ll let you know my thoughts. I have outfits, wraps, etc that are specifically meant for newborn shoots. If the outfit you have in mind isn’t too big on the baby or too busy, then we can definitely work it in somewhere. At that point, they pretty much still swim in everything, so it’s best to stick with the ones I bring because I know they will work.
-When should we schedule our newborn session? The sooner, the better! It’s good to go ahead and get on the calendar. We’ll need to do their shoot within their first two weeks, so it’s best to go ahead and get your shoot lined up before things get too crazy and you get too tired from all those sleepless nights 😉
-What if I prefer a lifestyle type of newborn session? I think that’s a great idea! You can go ahead and book one of my In-Home Lifestyle Sessions. Keep in mind though, these are very much 100% lifestyle sessions and not newborn focused. I don’t bring any props or wraps or bows with me. We don’t pose the baby perfectly. I don’t bring any lighting or use a flash. It’s just me and my camera and we capture your sweet family, in your home as you are 😊
