{Yep, it happened again}

My bad luck has struck again :-)   If you could see my actual smile right now,  you would see that it’s more of a “eh, what can you do about it?”  type of smirk.   

Grrrrrrr……. I’m happy I’m okay, happy I still have my camera stuff, but I’m so over this whole bad luck business.    I’m SO sick of my stuff being stolen, but I guess things could always be worse.   Once again….I just hope they needed my stuff more than I did.   Whatever.  

ALSO, just so everyone knows….I’m not an idiot and I did NOT leave my purse sitting out in the open for everyone to see.  It was in the back of my car and under blankets.   

The cherry on top happened yesterday morning.  My hairbrush broke in half while I was trying to blow-dry my  hair.   Just totally broke in half.  Not at the handle, but the actual brush part, snapped into two.   I just thought to myself, “oh I’ll just go get one from Target today.”   Then I remembered my purse had been stolen and I had no way to pay for a hairbrush.   I then proceeded to throw the hair brush across the room, tossed my hair up in a pony tail and left.    Then I walked outside into the GORGEOUS , sunny weather we had today and immediately started searching for my sunglasses.  I get really bad headaches if I’m without my sunglasses, so it’ s a very bad thing when I’m stuck outside on a sunny day with no sunglasses….it makes for a very grouchy Lissy :-)   SO I start digging around for my purse and once again realize it’s gone.  Along with my sunglasses….along with my favorite lip gloss….etc.  It’s not having all the little things that drives me insane

The whole thing is just so annoying.  Now I’m going to be spending all of today trying to get it all back in order.  Going to the bank to get cash, going to the License bureau, going to the social security office (whoever stole my purse now has my social security card, awesome) , going to the repair shop, going to the store, etc.  When really I need to be editing, editing, doing the two shoots I have schedule for today, editing, editing, editing.  Not to mention all the emails I have to return.  So yeah….the whole thing is just annoying.  

So I had a busy weekend of shoots along with my busy weekend of bad luck :-)   Special thanks to Ashley Musselman, her family, her parents, her sister, her brother and her brother-in-law.  It was in the middle of their shoot that we found out my car had been broken into.  I wanted to finish the shoot first and then take care of all the usual car break-in stuff after the shoot.  But they (along with the cop) told me I needed to take care of it all right then and there.  So they all sat there and waited while I called all my banks and credit card companies.  They looked up phone numbers for me, they searched trash cans for my purse, they gave me suggestions, etc.  They also had to keep the kiddo’s happy.  Keeping a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old happy and ready for pictures for that long is no easy task.   THANK YOU so much guys!!  Sorry about the delay mid-shoot :-)

  2. Thanking God you’re okay and can still appreciate the super weather even when things are looking so down for you! You are an optimist whether you know it or not and so I know this set-back is a small one (huge inconvenience!) but small all the same in the big picture!

    On another note…where do you find such good looking subjects? All of these families are gorgeous – adults and kids – and I love all of their pictures. I really need to do the fall photos next year – they always turn out so beautiful.
