{Sunday Sneak Peeks}

They’re finally ready :-)   P.S.- I just realized I put “friday sneak peeks” on my last post….turns out those were actually taken on Saturday, approximately 2 days before my brain turned to mush. 

Anyway- here’s Sunday’s pictures of all sort of cute people :-)

Lots of GORGEOUS  and super fun pictures!  Enjoy!

Davis Family- oh my gosh I about melted when I went to the Davis house.  Jack was actually excited to see me and get his picture taken :-)  I like to think he remembered me from the last time we took pictures and he thought i was pretty cool and therefore was super excited to see me this time, but…..I think he just got through his “stranger danger stage” and loves people coming to visit….and didn’t necessarily remember me.  I’ll just stick with my story of him thinking I’m a super fun person, ha! 

Kuhlman Family- Little did I know- the Kuhlman family made an addition to their family since I saw them last November :-)  Little Max is TOO cute and his big brothers love him very much.  They were so great with him during pictures and those boys did everything I asked them to.  Their dad even busted out some serious dance moves in order to get some giggles during their shoot.  If anyone saw some guy dancing at Walker Park last Sunday…that would be one of my photo shoots.  That’s how my shoots roll :-)

Verslues Family- The Verslues family just so happens to be some of Sassy Pants (my niece Bella for those of you that don’t know) BFF’s.  Julie is actually Ryan’s cousin and she used to watch Bella on certain days while Sara worked.  Sara was sooooooo sad to take Bella away from Leah, Kyla & Clare because Bella refered to them as her “fwends”…..how can you take a 2 year old away from her “fwends”???  Oh my gosh Bella adored these girls!  They were perfect for Bella because they would just do their thing, play, sing, dance and just let Bella follow them around.  Bella doesn’t do so hot when you force her to do things or you’re constantly in her face, she’s more of a “let me sit here and watch you for a few minutes and maybe I’ll join in…but don’t come within 5 feet of me because if you do, I won’t play with you!”  type of girl.  She got so excited when I told her who I took pictures of on Sunday.  Her cute little grin came across her face, she waddled on over to my computer, climbed up on my lap and smiled as she went through all their pictures.  Such a cute family :-)

Mesnier Family- This is Candi and she’s best friends with my oldest sister Amanda.  I’ve known Candi since I was little and she was one of the poor souls that used to babysit for our family when we were little.  I’m just going to say it right now (I say it anytime I see anyone who ever had to babysit me) I’M SO SORRY FOR ANYTHING I DID!!  Apparently I was quite the handful.  Luckily Candi still likes me and now she has this super cute family that I got to take pictures of :-)  We did their shoot at Oak Knoll Park and not joking, she said they left their house early so they could stop at the Gap in Chesterfield to get their clothes for the shoot…….hahahaha!  Love it!

Taylor Kitchen-  I’ve heard from several people say that I remind them of Taylor and Taylor reminds them of me….after hanging out with her during her shoot, I totally see what they mean.  She finds all the things funny that I find funny and she has that sarcastic sense of humor that I have.  Plus we’re cousins, so I guess that might have something to do with it :-)  her pictures were G O R G E O U S!!!!!!  Even though her mom locked the keys (along with all outfit changes) in the trunk of their car at the very begining of the shoot, wayyyyy to go susie ;-) ……we still got a ton of cute shots!  We did spend a bit of time just hanging on in my car, staying warm and waiting on keys, but we still squeezed it all in before we lost all our light.

This is where I’m also going to chime in on my High School Senior GIRLS (sorry it just so happens to be on your shoot Taylor).   This is something that’s been bothering me for awhile now and after discussing it with Sara this week while in Bentonville….I’m going to bring it up…… because I know all of you (with the exception of like one or two) are SUPER DUPER CRITICAL of yourselves and your hair and your face and your make up and your shoes and your eyeballs and your boogers and your eyebrows and your elbows, etc….. 

this is one the reasons I’m so anti- crazy photo-shopping.  I hate it when photographers give people porcelain skin and psycho bright eyeballs….WHO THE HELL HONESTLY LOOKS LIKE THAT IN REAL LIFE???  no one!   I hate it when photographers encourage these unreasonable standards. 

I’m here to tell you that YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!  Get that THROUGH YOUR HEADS!!!!   My little sister is in high school….I hear the final thoughts on senior pictures through the windmill and it’s always like, “I look ugly, my hair is frizzy, i hate my eyes, my legs look fat,” and on and on and on and on.     That’s totally NOT what I see when I look through my camera and I’m 100% sure that no one else see’s that either.   Plain and simple- STOP BEING SO CRITICAL!!!  You’re all adorable, sweet, gorgeous, fun and have your own individual things that  make you, YOU.   Take what God gave you and love it as much as everyone else does :-)  Trust me- your life will be much better!

Ok- feels good to get that off my chest :-)  I’m actually thinking about/working on a special post for all my senior girls so that they can see/hear what other people see when they look at their senior pictures.   More to come on that later………

So I made it back from Bentonville earlier this evening….. no fun leaving :-(  It was nice to just sit and hang out and be lazy with Bell’s, Brady & Sara.  Turns out I actually like Bentonville, so I guess I’ll go back….but they can’t stay there forever!!!! 

I’ll try and do a Bentonville post over the next few days :-) 

Tomorrow is strictly a work day and then Sunday is a 4 shoot kind of day….then I drive back to Kirksville that night….then I have a shoot Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, lots of shoots and things to do on Friday, shoots & a birthday party (yayyyyy Ellie) on Saturday, Shoots and a drive back to St. Louis on Sunday.

Whew!!!!!

Then possibly a shoot weekend in KC the next weekend (Dec.3rd- 5th).  I’ll keep you posted.

I can’t believe how big Candi and Ken’s kids are getting and I do see the same “sassiness” in Taylors eyes like yours! Thanks for coming to B-Ville and we can’t wait to see you again. In the mean time, rest up since Bella really makes you work hard when you are with her! On a different note. I was thinking about the senior girls and thought of something which seems a little gruesome but true. When we lose people in our lives the pictures we cherish most are the ones where they have their true smile and their true expressions… not the fake stuff! Just something to think about!
