Here is my problem…
I’m that girl that buy’s that fun, sparkly eye shadow, the latest eye liner, the cutest lip gloss, etc. The freaking make-up makers get me EVERY TIME!!!! I DON’T EVEN WEAR EYE LINER!
Do they have make-up addict support groups?? Just for people who buy unnecessary make-up??
I have no idea why I buy it because NONE of it looks good with my skin. The sparkles always catch my eye, but then I look in the mirror after I put it on and I hate it! It looks too fake, sparkly and too much. I like my matte powder, my mascara (loves me some mascara), my blush and my lip gloss.
Well, today I decided to mess around with all my fun, sparkly eye-shadows. I meant to wipe it off before I went out and did my errands for the day….but I forgot. So I went to Target in my jeans, tennis shoes, puffy coat, semi damp hair thrown into a ponytail and a very fancy face :) Pretty sure I looked ridiculous.
Sara called me while I was at Target and she ended up having a snow day. Her and Bella were hanging out so I decided to head over there and drop off some dresses she had me pick up for Bella and eat some lunch. Sara- I apologize that you had to see my scary eye make up. Also….WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME I LOOKED LIKE I HAD BEEN PUNCHED IN BOTH EYES??? Sara also got the pleasure of seeing my bruised bottom. I know she loved it :)
Bella was funny as usual during my visit. She refused to let Sara see any of the dresses I brought in for her. She grabbed them all, held them up against her, said “awwwww”, shoved them in her cozy coupe and ran over them multiple times. She did give me a hug and kiss when I left :) oh Bella, your slobbery kisses are the best.
I made it home, edited my little heart out, made some baked chicken with prosciutto (yummy), watched Wheel of Fortune, edited some more, returned emails and now I’m doing this. Giving you a detailed, minute by minute, recap of my day…and I have no idea why. I guess I do things like this so people (future clients) get to know me…or at least that’s what I tell myself :)
I’m leaving for Bingo Night in about 10 minutes. Just kidding.
Fun News: I already have FIVE weddings booked for this year. I find this absolutely amazing and I’m SO grateful :)

Um…it’s cold.
Really cold.
BUT that’s ok because that means I get Peppermint Hot Chocolate! Yes!
My “down time” has been very nice thus far during this beautiful month of January. I do miss doing 28 shoots in one month, but months like that will be here soon…so I’m just going to enjoy this easy breezy month for what it is. Catch up time, brainstorm time, lunch date time, dinner date time, wine night time, plan ahead time, do whatever I want time….oh and edit all my Christmas sessions :)
Today was pretty uneventful. I got up and worked out! YES- I know it’s totally cliché to start this time of year, but I’m so sick of being fat chubby. When I worked my corporate job I was much better about working out routinely. Then I got bad about it…well…now I’m going to get good about it again :) This is one of the few times I’ll talk about my quest to be skinny because I feel like people who talk about it all the time (I used to), don’t succeed. If I feel like saying something every now and then, that’s fine, but I don’t want to be one of those annoying people that’s like “I lost 12 pounds last week!” and they say the same thing every week. Ohhhh wait ….that’s because YOU DIDN’T EAT ANYTHING.
Ok- so after I worked out I got ready for the day and played with my fun supply of make-up. Yes, I’m known for my fun make-up. My sisters and my niece’s love my make-up bag. It’s full of fun make-up that I never wear. I wear my everyday Bare Minerals make-up, but that’s really it.

Lissy – I thought your eyes looked very pretty. The “popped” but not in a buggy eye kind of way. But we all know that I am not the sister to ask about style. I love sparkles. Did you not see my “fancy” clothes in college. Now I dress in hand-me downs that don’t fit and 75% off items. Really – who do I have to impress. Wait – I guess you should always want to look your best. My New Years Resolution – Try to dress better. This should be great considering I am 21 weeks pregnant!
