EDIT:  Just realized I didn’t mention even ONCE that my sister Allison helped me AGAIN for this newborn shoot….and…my mom watched Ellie & Lincoln AGAIN so that Allison could help me.   I feel like the most horrible daughter and sister for not saying anything!!!  It’s not like I didn’t think about it, I just got rushed at the end of my post and forgot it :-(  THANK YOU GUYS!!!! 

This Chilean Miner thing has really sucked me in.  I’ve been watching since last night (minus  a couple hours of sleep) and I’m still just completely amazed.  Could you even imagine??  the emotions them and their families are going through?? 

A MA Z I N G!!! 

I could go on forever, but I’ll get to some super cute sneak peeks :-)

First up is Mr. Lucas….who looks EXACTLY like his big brother Ryan.  I should also point out that this was the first time I’ve used my “studio” above Andrew’s office.  I love it :-)   I still need to do somethings, but I love it overall and I think it’s going to work very well. 

Side note:  the 26th Miner just came out and his little girl is full on SCREAMING!  Welcome home dad :-)  hahaha- I just thought it was funny.  He’s probably like, “are you kidding me??  you haven’t seen me in months and you decide to pitch a fit at this exact moment??”  oh toddlers- gotta love em!    It’s that complete randomness that makes them so entertaining, lovable, sweet & just flat out scary all at the same time :-)

Ok- back to baby Lucas.  He was a trooper.  This kid was awake the WHOLE TIME (unless we tricked him into taking a 2 minute snooze) and cried ONCE and that was at the end and it was because he was starving.    Even though he was awake- he still let us mess with him and put him in random containers :-)  I also have to point out how awesome the whole family was.  Mandie has always been one of my favorite people to work with- so laid back- so open to whatever I suggest- so calm…and she’s just funny and always makes me laugh.  Well- Mandie also struck gold when she found her husband (this kinda sounds like I’m hitting on Mike, but I’m not…just compliments, ha!) seriously- he’s awesome!   For example: this shoot was at the top of Andrew’s office- which is completely unfinished and unfurnished.  NOTHING up there to keep a kid entertained (these are issues I’m working on) and as you know, newborn shoots take a LONG time.   Mike took care of and entertained Ryan the WHOLE time.  He even helped us out here and there.  Mike has been like this for every single shoot I’ve done with them.  I have NEVER heard the guy complain.   

Not that I’m saying no one should ever complain (I complain a lot), but it does get under my skin when people get so grumpy with me because I’m taking their picture. 

Even though he entertained & corraled Ryan the whole time- Ryan didn’t really need that much controlling.  This kid is awesome!!  I LOVE THE SHOWERS FAMILY!!!!  :-)

This is when I said, "are you ever going to go to sleep Mr. Lucas?" and he looked at me and said, "No, but I promise I'll be good."

These are the ones where we tricked him and he fell asleep for a couple minutes :-)

Seriously- is this not hilarious?? This was the face he made the whole time we were trying to get this shot.

This makes me laugh really hard. He's like, "what the heck is wrong with you?"

Next I headed back up to Coatsville.  I did this shoot out there this summer for the Beeler family and it turns out their Cousin Tina like it so much that she wanted to do one of her own :-)  So her and her family drove up from Kansas City on Friday and then drove back the next day.   You gotta do what you gotta do to get pictures :-) 

Gracie & Nate were ADORABLE!!!!!!  It was quite the adventurous shoot.  We had a Mule, tractors & apple picking.   Thanks so much for making the trips and enjoy your sneak peek!  You guys were awesome :-)

Doesn't she just make you smile? The basket was her great great grandmas....or at least I think it's great great....it might be 1 great....

Nate was a hoot! I can't believe I just said "hoot"....what am I?? 80??
