{Sneak peeks!}

Apparently my new name is Bad Luck.  Or at least that’s what my brother called me when I was leaving their house on Sunday evening.  We were trying to get Baylor to wave bye-bye to me and Andy was trying to get him to say “see ya later Bad Luck!” 

He always makes me feel so loved :-) 

I think Andy really understood this time when I said bad luck just follows me wherever I go.  Not joking- the day I got there, Andy’s license got suspended.

I’m sure he LOVES that I just told you that, ha!  BUT it has nothing to do with anything he did.  He paid his traffic ticket through his online banking, the bank prints out and mails the check.  They also take the money out of your account.  So Andy  had no reason to believe that the check never made it to the city.  Turns out some third party payment center they use for the ticket payments didn’t get the check and it got lost somewhere between the bank and them.   SO it ends up looking like Andy never paid the ticket and that means he gets his license suspended.   EVEN THOUGH it wasn’t his fault.  The bank agreed to pay all the fee’s, but it still takes 1-2 weeks to get your licenses reinstated.   I loved calling him a criminal all weekend :-)  

So after the license fiasco….his car completely died that night.  Turns out it needed a whole new battery because jump starting it with my car was not working.

Then I almost got kidnapped the next day.  Ok- maybe that was a bit exaggerated.  If you’re friends with me on Facebook- then you probably saw my post about the creepy bug guy?  Long story, short- he was the creepiest man I’ve ever met and asked me if I was staying at their house by myself that night.  This was after he stared at me the whole time I was on the phone with Autumn (who was giggling at me) and before he said, “oh…I thought they were on vacation.”   WEIRDO.   I should also point out that he was totally trying to get into the house before I got to the door.  He didn’t even knock.  I just so happened to be walking by the front door at that point.

So yes- Andy’s a criminal, his car died, I almost got kidnapped and then……….then the bad luck hit again on our way to Andy’s FAVORITE place to eat.  Oklahoma Joes.  You DO NOT mess with Andy & his Oklahoma Joes.  We were sitting at the light, waiting to turn left and the light skipped us three times.  Oh he was SOOOOO about to go crazy.  If you know Andy, then you know how funny this would have been to watch :-) 

Other little things happened here and there, but those were the funniest.  I don’t know if Andy will ever let me come visit again, ha!   My visit was fun though, lots of shoots and lots of Briley & Baylor time.  Here are some of my favorite Briley conversations from the weekend:

Briley:  Lissy, Gaston is my favorite in Beauty & the Beast
Lissy:  What??  Why??  He’s mean to the Beast
Briley:  No, he’s nice when Belle is singing at the restaurant
Lissy:  But he’s really arrogant Briley.   Don’t ever go for boys that are arrogant
Briley:  But I like his shirt….don’t you like his shirt??  And he has a gun. 

This is new.  Apparently she picked this up after walking up to communion with Andy on Sundays.   She does this every time they give her a vitamin.  She makes them say, “Body of Christ” before they hand her the vitamin.   HAHAHHAAH!   So while I was there I taught her to say “amen” and do the sign of the cross :-) 

Briley:  Does anybody at your work like you daddy??
Andy:  Everyone likes me
Briley:  Everyone likes you??
Andy:  Yes
Briley:  Why??

Oh Briley Mae :-)  Thanks for letting me stay with you guys, thanks for taking me to see Cinderella in an outdoor theater during a heat advisory  ;-)  and thanks for putting up with my bad luck!

  1. haha…we used to do “Body of Christ” with pieces of cheese. I think little ones are fascinated with it because they can’t actually have it. By the way, I’d run the stop light for Oklahoma Joe’s! Just saying. And, to brag a little, Kelsey and I were first row, section 102, Kenny Chesney instead of Cinderella. I paid my Starlight dues.
