{Sneak peeks!}

Sorry- I intended on having this up earlier so that people could start posting their guesses for the giveaway…but that obviously didn’t happen :-)    Better late than never, right??

Lots of fun shoots over the past few days.  Some in Kirksville, some in St. Louis, but all super cute!    It’s all different shoot types, so the amount of sneak peek pictures will vary.  

First up- Jack Vogt!  This time I met up with Jen out at her parents house and we let Jack run around and play on the fire truck.  He is definitely way more mobile this go around, so it involved a lot of chasing Jack:-)   He was SOOOO cute in his little fireman outfit on the vintage fire truck!  I have to say my favorite picture is the one of Jack and the dog Rocket.  I love that they’re both making the same face :-)   Thanks for letting me hang out with you Jack, enjoy your sneak peek!!

Then I met up with the Barber’s to do some 1- year pictures for Miss Ashlyn.   Poor Julie had her work cut out for her when it came to keeping a bow on Ashyln’s head :-)  Oh it was such a game!  She would distract her with something that would involve her looking down or using her hands, then she would pop the bow on her head and I would snap away, sing to her, play peek-a-boo….anything to keep her from raising her arms up and pulling that bow out :-)   After some indoor shots, we headed over to my parents house so that we could get some outside pictures with the GORGEOUS pink peonies my parents have in their backyard right now.  LOVE them :-)  Ashlyn was awesome for her whole shoot and I would say she kept the bow in a bit longer with outside shots, ha!   She was even a little dare devil and played around on the first step of the pool…which was FREEZING mind you.  You would have thought it was 80 degree’s in the pool because she did not care one bit.   Thanks for being so good, Ashlyn.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

On Monday evening I met up with Miss Elia for her 9 month shoot.  Elia is always the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen :-)   She always has smiles for me and she always falls for my tricks, ha!   Her mom and dad told me she wasn’t a fan of grass, but I thought maybe we could try just a couple shots and see if maybe we could distract her enough that she would forget about sitting in the grass….um….not so much!  As soon as we took her out of the grass, she was just peachy :-)  Enjoy your sneak peek Elia!!

Yesterday evening I met up with the Karsten Family.  When I meet new clients, I’m always reminded of what a small world it is.  Everyone always knows someone and it’s always so crazy to me to hear all the little connections.   Jane was reading my blog and she noticed a couple that looked familiar.  Then they realized they had seen them at a friends wedding and J.R. had actually gone on a Bachelor party with the guy they saw on my blog…turns out it was Sara & Ryan :-)  Craziness!  Anyway- Anna and Michael were AWESOME for their shoot.  Quiet possibly one of the easiest families I’ve ever photographed.  Anna smiled the whole time and it didn’t take much to get Michael to smile at me :-)   Thanks for meeting up with me yesterday and enjoy your sneak peek!!!

So just a couple things………..

 I’m introducing a new package- yayyyy!!  :-)

I’m going to start offering two different Time Flies When You’re Having Fun packages.  The first one will be the regular one, that is (1) 2 hour shoot and (3) 1 hour shoots for $600.  My new one will be the Newborn Time Flies When You’re Having Fun package.  It will include a Brand New Baby shoot and then (4) 1 hours shoots for $900.  The reason I’m doing this??  Well, we’ve tried to do it with the regular package, but I’ve never had a newborn shoot only last 2 hours.  We always go way over 2 hours, so I needed a modified package to offer clients who want to use it for Newborn shoots and shoots throughout the first year.  SO now you can either book it for a Newborn or you can book it for your not so newborn :-)

  9. My guess is 3 lbs and 1 inch. Lissy, I would like to talk to you about booking a slot next time you’re in K-ville for Charlotte’s 6 month pictures. She’ll be 6 months on June 7th, so a date somewhere relatively close to that and I’m thinking some outdoor ones of some sort!   10. Great shots! My guess is 3 pounds, 1 inch. Hope you are staying safe (if you are in STL) with the storms today. They just missed us in Columbia. Sitting in a closet with your 2 year old (who you had to wake up from nap) while 6 months pregnant is not so much fun! Thank goodness the storm passed us though.

  22. 3lbs 1 in…i definitely need to start looking for some cute chair and accessories for our shoot. I’m quite sure you won’t think we are the easiest family to shoot!!

  27. I love that there is finally green grass and flowers! Jack is growing up so much but he is still pint sized like his mama. Miss Elia made my day with her peek a boo and that little Ashlyn is adorable bow or no bow! I love your family pics also. They were such a sweet couple and the yellow flowers and bright colors will look great on a wall! An awesome splash of color!

  39. Nice research Rob. The math bears out your conclusion that LEDs are less costly of the life of the bulbs compared to the alternatives. I wonder whether 20+ years is what one can realistically expect from an LED bulb’s lifespan. I remember expecting 10 years or so from CFLs but never saw that ever. When I would put in a new CFL, I would write the installation date on the bulb’s socket for reference. Usually I’d have a CFL last for about 2 years max. I hope LED bulbs last 20 years but I’m wary of those claims. All my LEDs have installation dates written on them.
