Earlier this week I met up with Mr. Quinn for his big 1 year shoot :-) 

um…..he was PERFECT!!!  He smiled the whole time- not joking.  I had this old squeaky wagon that my aunt gave me (thanks Aunt Pat!!) to use as a prop and Meghan was pulling it when we were walking to the field.  Quinn, for some reason, thought it was HYSTERICAL.  He found the squeaky noise funny….so of course I made Meghan stand behind me and pull the wagon back and forth, back and forth, back and forth throughout Quinn’s shoot :-) 

Oh the things that will make kids laugh!

You are going to die when you see his car pictures.  SO SO SO CUTE!!!  His little retro cardigan could not have been any more perfect. 

Little Quinn- you’re the best and thanks for always being such a good little boy for all your pictures :-)  Enjoy your sneak peek!!

P.S.- Quinn’s Grandma, Kathy (a.k.a. my second mom) brought me over an early birthday present because she’s just that sweet!  What was it???  PHOTO PROPS!!!  A super cute newborn tutu & toddler tutu with interchangeable bows AND these absolutely adorable angel wings that are just begging to be put on a baby girl.  Can’t wait to use them!!!  THANKS KATHY!!!!!

Earlier this week I also got to meet up with this fun family!  They are a family of all girls and one boy…how could they not be fun, right??  It’s not like I’m biased or anything :-) 

Alex (the oldest) contacted me about setting up a shoot to get some pictures of all the kids together.  It’s going to be an anniversary present for their mom and dad- such a cute idea!  First of all- I was super impressed with Alex just taking charge and getting it done… I don’t think I would have ever done that when I was her age…the only pictures I took were one’s my mom scheduled for me.

Of course the kids were a blast and weren’t shy about sharing their ideas with me (which I LOVED about them!!!!).   We had quite the challenge on our hands with the unbelievable wind gust we had goin’ on that day.  It would have been fine if it were a bunch of boys…but this was a bunch of girls (and one boy) with long hair. 

It was a lot of  “ok- hold  your hair, hold your hair, hold your hair, anddddddddd LET GO!!!!  There’s a break in the wind, LET GO!!!” 

All in all we got some really cute shots!  Their shoot was super fun and laid back, just the way I like them :-)  Thanks for having me out Nichtings and enjoy your sneak peek!!!

P.S.- Don’t you LOVE their idea of each of them wearing a shirt showing which state they were born in???  LOVE IT!!

Yesterday, before I left Kirksville, I went and snapped some quick pictures of this little girls first dance class- awwwww!   Oh man- she’s the cutest & sweetest little girl, but she’s also silly & emotional….I love my Ellie :-)  It was fun to see her with all her little friends, in their cute little tap shoes, their tights that are two sizes too big, their pink leotards, their ballet skirts….just reminds me of the days when we all took dance class.  So stinkin’ cute!!!

So…..tomorrow is the big 28 for me.  Woo hoo!  We’ve got family coming into town for little Brady’s baptism, so I think tomorrow night we’re going to go out to eat and maybe some bowling to celebrate my birthday :-)  hahaha!  Then Brady’s baptism is on Saturday and I’ve got 2 shoots on Sunday….so I’m sure I will have plenty of posts coming up soon.

  5. AWWWWW!!!! Quinn is too precious and your right – the car picture is so classic! The Nichting kids pics are perfect. They are adorable, fun and light-hearted just like all of them and the most amazing part is that they all behaved that well without any “reinforcement” from parents! Finally – could you have captured “My first dance class” any better. I don’t think so. You can see the excitement and nervousness in little Ellie’s face and the shiny shoes and baggy tights are too sweet! See you tomorrow Birthday Girl! GO TO BED!!!

  6. First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Lissy, had no idea about the birthday, today is our granddaughter birthday as well, Joe’s daughter Brooke is 13 today, so many of the family have bd on the same days, and we don’t even know it. How neat.

    Again beautiful pic, love the family pic of the kids, I am sure more to come with Brady and my Bella, Ellie will continue to entertain us with dance, watch the moves,

    aww….to be 28 again. Ashley was baptized on my 28th birthday. I had to sit and think a minute to remember that. Then I think we went to an REO Speedwagon concert. That one might be wrong…but we did go to a concert at Starlight that night.
