{Mikes & Reeves Wedding}

Last week I met up with this awesome kid.  Mikes was a rock star and was even nice enough to give me some new joke material (i’m running low on good jokes)….but for the life of me, I can NOT remember his really good one that he made up on his own.   It was really good and I remember being totally impressed that he came up with it all on his own. 

I’ll have to get back to you on that one.

Anyway- Mikes pictures were easy breezy and he was wonderful and his mom was too sweet!  Fun new clients :-)  Thanks Aunt Robin for the referral!  Enjoy your sneak peek Mikes!

Last Saturday I headed off to Atchison, Kansas to shoot a wedding for a VERY sweet couple.  If you haven’t been to Atchison, KS or in that general area, you should go sometime….very small town cute….and apparetnly it’s a very haunted town.   It was on the travel channel or something like that.

I tried to get their early so I could run around town to look around and take pictures, but in my true fashion, I didn’t arrive early enough.  Just google it-  you’ll see!

Monica & Ryan, along with their families and wedding party, were so wonderful to work with!    They had a G O R G E O U S day and I was so excited to run around town and take some pictures, but we ran out of time and were only able to do pictures around the church :-(  No worries though-  we still got awesome shots….actually, several of them are my favorite wedding shots I’ve done.  I’m also proud to report that I did this one without an assistant…….which meant I was e x h a u s t e d by the end of it, but I loved it!  For some reason I couldn’t get anyone to travel to Atchison with me :-) 

Monica’s dress was to die for!!!  I loved the gathers and pleats.  LOVE LOVE LOVED it!  You will also see that I was OBSESSED with their lighting at the reception.  They had two “walls of lights”, one behind the head table and one behind the cake table.  I played with that lighting the whole night and I now constantly drool over the silhouette type pictures I got.   Note to self- I want pictures like that taken at my wedding :-)  I loves me a good silhouette!

Ryan doted on Monica the whole day. Oh he was so cute with her :-) I think someone is going to be a good husband!

I wasn't allowed in the sanctuary during the ceremony....that's the SECOND wedding that's been this way. I think it's just crazy. A guest can be in there with their camera, just snapping and flashing away....but I'm banned to the back and I can't even use a flash because I have the label of Photographer.

They got engaged at that exact spot and at that exact picnic table. SO CUTE :-)

LOVE THIS ONE!!!! LOVE IT!

I can't remember whose idea it was to do the whole "roller coaster" picture, but they're genius. I love it :-)
