[…] with a dear friend I never get to see anymore because they moved to no where Illinois. She had THIS baby girl back in August and I about died when I saw her […]
A couple days ago I finally got to go meet Miss Lulu. Andrea is one of my best friends and pregnant Andrea was one of the most entertaining experiences I’ve ever had :-)
I shouldn’t really say that because it was a really rough pregnancy as far as nausea goes- but once she got over the nausea stuff (wasn’t till like 7 months- poor girl), she was pretty funny. You know I love you Andrea :-)
Anyway- I just knew Miss Lulu was going to arrive while I was in Seaside…I just knew it! She did….that little sinker….the nerve….. just kidding. I went straight to Kirksville from Seaside, so I wasn’t able to actually meet Lulu until she was almost two weeks old. Nonetheless- I got to meet her and she was absolutely perfect :-) She looks exactly like her daddy and she is the first baby girl on his side for I forget how many years, it’s a ridiculous amount, like 30 years or something.
Her newborn shoot was….well….long, ha! Very successful though. I didn’t bring my space heater (vital for newborn shoots), but I thought surely Andrea & Gerrit would have one. Um- nope! No noise maker and no paci either. I almost drove to the next town to buy all three!!!! I really didn’t think Andrea would be one to follow the “rules” (dumb rule) and not give her a paci… GEEEZZZ Andrea. Tell poor lulu not to worry- Aunt Lissy will go get her a paci :-)
See that’s the fun part about doing newborn shoots for friends. They say they aren’t doing paci’s yet and instead of saying, “ok- that’s fine. We’ll just keep going” I can say, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? How do you expect me to do this shoot??” hahahaha :-) Actually- you can most definitely do a newborn shoot with out a paci….it just makes things MUCH easier and MUCH faster if you have a paci to calm them down. Like when you finally have them placed perfectly in a bucket and everything is ready to go…but then they start crying….if you have a paci- you pop that in their mouth and calm them down. Then you slowly take it out and BAM- picture snapped and done :-) Sometimes they might be too mad to take a paci- but those are the times you just take them out a feed them a bit. It just nice to have the paci to get them through those little crying spurts.
Just sayin…. :-)
I think Lulu ate for approximately 4 hours of her 5 hour shoot. That girl is a EATER!!!! Again- that’s the fun part of doing friends shoots- we can just sit and talk while she eat’s
It was fun to see the beginning of her personality. I think she’s going to be feisty and I love it :-)
Anyway- I’m sure they all just want to see her pictures and not read about what I have to say, ha! SO- here we go!!! Little Miss Lucciana Trotta :-)
