Slowly making my way through all these sneak peeks!  

Anddddddddddd once again I’m just going to post and not type much for two reasons…..  #1- is because I’m flippin’ exhausted (it’s 7:30 and I’m having to fight to keep my eyes open and #2- is  because I have a TON of work to do.   Busy is good, but this is just flat out crazy!   I’m on my way to making that better though.  If you’ve emailed me or called me recently to set up an October shoot and I’ve told you no………..it’s not because I don’t like you……….it’s because always saying “yes” is how I get myself into the rat race that is my life right now.   I just need to be better about saying “no” and sticking with a reasonable/manageable amount of shoots each month so that I can get pictures back to clients much quicker.  Whats killing me is when I feel bad for people and agree to taking  on all sorts of last minute shoot’s.  I could go on and on and on and on about this subject, but I’ll do a blog post about it later.  It will include all the changes that are going to be  made for next year.  Including prices, weddings, wedding contracts, large family shoots, creative shoots, quick shoots, etc. 

Next year will be under control if it kills me :-)

First up is Justin Riggins!  A Laplata High School Senior who totally took me by surprise.  Normally- senior boy shoots are super quick and simple, not that I force them to be that way, but boys will be boys and that’s just usually the way they prefer their shoot to be.  Well, Justin had plans, poses and ideas!!  Way to be Justin :-) 

Next up is the United Methodist Church of Kirksville.  Oh this was a fun one :-)  We all know I love kids and oh man did I get my share with this group!  This had the potential to be a total disaster (you’ll see based on the amount of kiddos that showed up) but it was the exact opposite.  I’ve NEVER seen a more well behaved group of kids.  They were so sweet!  They are going to use these for newsletters, graphics throughout the church and even graphics for their new snazzy van :-) 

Later that evening I met up with the this lovely family for some pictures.  Sometimes, big family pictures can be tricky, but this family was so easy.  ZERO complaining, no one made me feel like I was this annoying person that came along and decided to make them smile for pictures, one dad even held up a diffuser for me….WITHOUT ME EVEN ASKING HIM TO!!!!  That alone made the whole shoot worth it me.  Such little things that make me happy, ha!  :-)   The only thing I had issues with, was getting the dog to look at the camera and perk its ears up at the same time.  It was similar to trying to get a 3 year old to look at the camera and smile  :-)

Next up is the Eskridge Family!  Love this little family :-)  Brooke & James have the CUTEST babies, with the prettiest eyes.  One of my new favorite pictures is the one of Carter, standing on the stool, in front of his Happy Birthday banner……full on crying :-)  hahahahah!  I think it’s a classic ;-)

Next is the Tallman Family.  Oh little Miss Charolette……you are a dream :-)  Absolute perfection during her shoot….it was amazing!   The whole family has these beautiful, sparkly, blue eyes and of course I just couldn’t get enough of it.  You’re gonna want to have another baby after you see this cutie :-)

and finally, it’s the Athon Family.   I just love these boys :-)  I get so excited every time we do a shoot because I know it’s going to be entertaining.  They are the SWEETEST boys….but they’re boys….and boys are crazy….so our shoots are usually all sorts of funny.  This time it was Reed spilling my entire bag of Jelly beans down a ramp and then……then the best part was watching all of them eat the Jelly Beans off the ground , hahahahha!  Note to self:  do not give 3 boys a bag full of Jelly Beans as form of entertainment while taking pictures of mom and dad.  Not my smartest idea :-)   I could have cared less about the Jelly Beans, but Reed felt so bad.  It was so cute :-)   Tiff is due within a month or so (I think) and I’m quite certain it’s going to be a girl.   AHHHH- I’m so excited for he/she to get here :-)

Soooooooo, it was a busy weekend.  I was in Columbia on Friday and Saturday to shoot a wedding, then drove back to St. Louis late last night, didn’t sleep because I was annoyed about something (long story) and then all that not sleeping business has caught up to me after a day full of 5 shoots.

I don’t have any shoots tomorrow, so it is a work day!!!!  Yayyyyy for attempting to get caught up.  Wish me luck :-)
