Hey there all you MissPrissiness die hards…. we are temporarily interrupting your regularly scheduled programming for a “GUEST BLOG”… 

Hi- I’m Lindsay, the one that Lissy mentions from time to time here on her blog. {this is where I would plug in my cool web address, if I had one –but I don’t, yet…coming soon in 2012}   

I can be found trailing around with Lissy at weddings, and other photo sessions…. Just trying to enhance my photog knowledge by hanging around with the Guru herself!   Lissy’s generosity and kindness overwhelm me about everyday – I mean, how can a person be so nice and selfless all the time?  It only took me meeting some of her family ONE TIME to know it’s just part of who they are!  Seriously, the sweetest, like ooey-gooey sweetest people ON EARTH.  I tried to get them to adopt me…. Still holding out hope.  

So, I have been hanging with Lissy in the midst of both of our crazy schedules — she is just MAD BUSY all the time (see previous posts to get a load of her schedule), and I am just juggling the whole “wife/mother of a three year old/works full time/photogs part time” gig.  Some where in the mix of it we get together to talk shop/photog/cameras, and craft… sometimes we add wine or margaritas to the combo… then it gets really fun!  :-)

A few weeks ago, we packed up Lissy’s car, and I road-tripped with her to Kirksville.  I had a newborn session to do for one of my besties who likes in KVille, and Lissy was headed there anyway, for you know… work!  So it worked out perfect!  We loaded an insane amount of stuff into Lissy’s car, and then we were off.  I got to see, and borrow Lissy’s studio (and her savvy know how) for the day…. We also traipsed around her parents back yard, ate some of her sisters cookies, lost a diamond earring, visited Truman campus, and experienced the local Mexican grub.  It was definitely a weekend I am not likely to forget….. 

The newborn session went great!  Because it was for my good friend, Lauren, we kinda did the “triathlon of baby shoots” and stretched out the session over two days  :-)  I am totally in love with these pictures, and the babe that is in them!  I tried to take her home, but sadly, her parents objected to that idea.  Guess they are kinda smitten too!  

Emma Kate- you are such a beautiful, precious, lucky little girl.  You have the BEST big sis in the world (that means you, Lexie!), and you have amazing parents! Thanks for letting me spend some time with you… even though your weren’t sure about me at first, somehow I think I won you over…. I think… 

So, without further ado – here are the pics…… Lissy was nice enough (did I mention she is nice?) to offer to post these on her blog, while I drag my feet about setting up my own!  So, thank you Lissy!!!! For this and all the other millions of things that you offer to help me out with!
