{Grumpy Old Men}

Let me introduce you to the two latest boys in my life :-)  Mr. Miles Robert and Mr. Bennett Michael.   Grumpy old man #1 and Grumpy old man #2.  They are by no means grumpy…..they just look grumpy (I would be to if my brother Lincoln had been using my home as a railroad track for the past 9 months) and they look like old men :-)   We sometimes tend to produce thee CUTEST most adorable little babies…that somewhat resemble old men when they’re fresh out of the oven.  

Oh they just make me giggle and all I want to do is hold them and kiss them and snuggle with them and take 5 billion pictures of them and their AMAZING hair!!!!    These boys are going to have gorgeous heads of hair :-)  

I don’t even know where to being.   The past few days have been up, down, up, down, up, down.  But when Miles &  Bennett decided to finally, officially make their grand entrance this morning, they did it fast and furious.   I drove back to St. Louis last night (thinking she wouldn’t have them for another 3 or 4 days) and got back into town at 10:45ish…..my phone rang at 7:00 AM and it was Caroline.  This was the conversation:

Me: “are you kidding me?”   Not a hello.  I knew it was because Ali was going into labor and I knew I should have just stayed in Kirksville one more night.
Caroline: “I’m driving over to Ali & Andrew’s house with snowflake pajama pants on, I haven’t brushed my teeth, I smell and I have to take Ellie & Jackson to school like this.”
Me: ” So I take it Ali is at the hospital?”
Caroline:  “oh yeah, I think she almost had them at home.  Mom and dad went straight to the hospital because even dad was worried she wouldn’t make it to the hospital.  She said something about being able to feel Mile’s head this morning.”  (turns out it was the membrane and not his head…thank you Jesus)
Me: ” WHAT?!?!?!”
Caroline: ” Yeah, so I think they are going to be here really soon if they haven’t already arrived.”
Me: “Well keep me posted.  Good luck with the snowflake pants!”

I got off the phone with her and saw that I had a message from my mom…..and it was a picture of Miles :-)    Seriously- those two wanted out FAST!  Everything went well (just super fast, so kinda scary), apparently Ali is super woman, both babies are happy & healthy and all older siblings adore their new baby brothers.   I honestly think, at this point in my life, nothing makes me happier than being an Aunt :-)  

The whole Farwell Family :-)    Ahhhhhh- I can’t get over it.  I just love it!!!!

What are everyone’s thoughts???  Identical or not??  Apparently they can’t be certain.   I had NO idea they couldn’t determine this during pregnancy and I certainly did not know that they still aren’t even 100% sure after birth.  I guess you just have to wait and see how they change and grow…..or order a DNA test.   Everyone wants to know though, because if they’re identical, then it’s totally random and NOT passed down through the girls in our family.  But if they’re fraternal, then it is passed down through our side of the family and well………that just kinda freaks out some of the others :-)  

Super mom!!!!  No epidural (it was not by choice, she just didn’t have time.  We are all for epidurals in this family, ha!) and she did not have the easiest delivery.    But look at her, she’s so darn cute and does such a good job of just doing what needs to be done :-)

It really seems like yesterday when we were all (seriously, like the whole family filled NERMC) sitting in the waiting room waiting on him…and now he has 4 younger siblings.  It’s the cutest thing ever to see him as a big brother :-)

Destin to be BFF’s.   They all just want to follow around and be with Papa….all the time….it’s the cutes thing ever :-)

 
I know their Aunt Sara is going to be so jealous of their hair :-)

Happy, happy Aunts!!!!  Ignore the way we both look.   It was a long day and I don’t think either of us got a chance to shower….but so worth it!

They all got foot prints, awwww!

Jackson is SO FLIPPING CUTE with the babies.  He was trying to teach them how to give a high-five.  He just makes me smile :-)

I was trying to get a picture of the two of them snuggled together and look whose little hand popped in the frame to give her brothers one last squeeze before we left……

Then she blew them kisses…..I think some little girl is just fine with the idea of two new baby brothers :-)

So not only do you get to see my two new nephews, but you also get to see this CUTE, CUTE, CUTE baby girl….Miss Emma :-)  Emma is one of my Times Flies When You’re Having Fun babies and she came in for some 6 month pictures.  Emma’s dad, Josh, plays bass, so they brought in his red bass to do some pictures with and   h o l y   s m o k e s……..I could have taken pictures of Emma & the bass all.day.long.  people.  So many fun things to do :-) 

Emma, thank you for being such a happy baby girl and putting up with all the stuff we made you do :-)  Enjoy your sneak peek!!!
