{Decker/Miller Wedding}

After floating in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday with a giant margarita, doing hand stand contest, falling off the raft a number of times, talking nonsense, yelling to our mom & dad on shore, doing flips, running away from fish, screaming at the sight of a stingray, etc.  After doing all that….I have super sun-kissed skin and therefore decided to hang out at the house this morning/afternoon and get some work done.

Lame, I know. 

No worries- I went down to the beach after to lunch while all the sneak peek pictures uploaded.  Then a massive storm rolled in and here we are….back at the house.

Brett & Cara got hitched this past Saturday at the Larimore Plantation in St. Louis and it was beautiful & wonderful!   I actually went to highschool with Brett, so it was fun to see people I haven’t seen in a while.  I don’t think any of the groomsmen knew I was the photographer because when I walked in to start pictures of them, it was a lot of, “oh- isn’t that what’s her face?  is that Lissy?”   :-)    They turned out being my dream groomsmen, ha!  They were the type that made every picture fun and loved doing goofy stuff in front of the camera.  You’ll see what I’m talking about when you look through the pictures.  Sometimes groomsmen can be the hardest to get loosened up, but these guys did just fine.  Thanks so much boys :-) 

I can only imagine what the rest of the reception was like.  I left at 9:00 and the dance floor was already pretty crowded (I love that!), but I’m thinking it probably got pretty entertaining as the drinks and the night went on :-)  I love a reception that get’s out of hand- those are the best!

The whole evening was gorgeous  and it was nice because we weren’t running around to a million places doing pictures.  The plantation had several locations for pictures, so we just kinda wandered around for a bit.   Love it :-)  Brett & Cara were both super laid back and easy to work with- just the way I like my brides & grooms.  Although Brett wasn’t super crazy about the idea of me following him around and taking pictures (I think it just flat out made him sick to his stomach), he still did great and Cara was awesome.   You can tell he relax’s when she’s around him.  Awww, so sweet :-)
