{and I’m back}

Back in Kirksville…..not St. Louis.   I was back in St. Louis for about 18 hours, but then hit the road for Kirksville :-)   

We got back into town late Saturday night, Caroline flew to Dallas early Sunday morning to meet Amanda, Carson, Colton & Carolina.  Caroline got back on a plane with Colton attached to her via Baby Bjorn, Carson and Amanda with Carolina attached to her via Baby Bjorn.  I did a photo shoot, we went to lunch, did some shopping and then went to the airport to pick up the whole circus that was exiting the 1:55 Southwest flight from Dallas Lovefield.  A circus that included a super excited and super cute Mr. Carson, a handsome and much chubbier (yayyy) Mr. Colton and an adorable Ms. Carolina, complete with a floral arrangement atop her head.   The girl has more big flower bows than any baby I know :-)   

I should have videotaped or even photographed the whole thing, but hands were needed to carry babies & luggage, which meant my camera was left in the car.  We got plenty of laughs, smiles & stares in the the airport garage.  Coming back from a week long vacation (with a beach cruiser & beach toys on a hitch haul attached to the car) with 5 people (4 of which are girls and bring wayyyyy more clothes than we need to), then picking up 4 additional people at an airport (3 of which require car seats, double stroller and a ton of luggage) and then trying to fit all that in 1 big SUV and 1 medium sized SUV….oh- 1 medium sized SUV that is already packed with photo shoot props….now that’s a challenge :-)     

Carson got to ride in “yissy’s tar”  (lissy’s car) with me, his Aunt taroline (caroline) and his Aunt Muahie (Molly).  Poor kid….his aunts invaded his snacks (his mom get’s the good snacks) while he was snoozing.    Then Amanda & the twins rode with my parents.  Neither my dad nor I could see out the back of our cars, but we got it all in :-)  

So now we’re home, but I guess I won’t be officially done until this Thursday when I’m able to go back to St. Louis and actually unpack and try to organize my apartment (which is straight out of that “Horders- Buried Alive” show right now) so that I won’t cry every time I walk in.  I have old furniture that is waiting to make a trip back to Kirksville, plus prop chairs that need to go down to my storage unit, plus clothes that need to be put away, plus stuff that just needs to be sent to goodwill.  It’s not like the crazy cat lady type of hording (I hate cats and I’m not hanging on to this stuff) it’s just a lot of stuff waiting in my apartment until I get 2 days free to send it all off to where it needs to go and put everything else back in order.    

I think I’ve been in St. Louis for about 2 weeks total out of the last month and a half….. stuff’s just gonna have to wait!   

Soooooooooo…. I spent the last week on the Florida panhandle with the white sand beaches, crystal clear emerald water, dinner’s out, cute beach houses, margaritas, the sun and some family.  It was wonderful :-)  Believe it or not- I didn’t really have my camera with me very much.  I did Molly’s senior pictures a few nights and I took a few pictures down on the beach, but seriously…I didn’t really do much with it.    

Here’s what I got (or what my mom got, because she stole my camera a lot) when I did bust out the camera :-)

so I said, “fine, I’ll just drink one of these if you’re going to steal my camera!”………and then I took my camera back :-)  

  

  

Then it was time for more of Molly’s senior pictures  

  

None of these are her actual senior pictures- these are just random one’s I took during her shoot.   

One little girl saw Molly walk by in her prom dress and she told her daddy “she’s so fancy!”  hahah :-)  

  

I asked her to sit up by the water and she wasn’t too crazy about the idea…..  

  

“Molly- I said sit!”  

  

This is when my mom’s saying, “MOLLY- sit up straight and just do it!”  

  

and then……….BAM!!!!  big wave :-)

Then we did some with her oh so precious beach cruiser :-)  My mom was bound and determined to get pictures of me “working” and just a picture of me.  She claims I need a new one for my site….whatev  

  

attempt #1: I'm not ready, I look slightly annoyed, I still have sunglasses on my head and I still have my camera. My hair would not cooperate to save my life! If it wasn't in a ponytail or held back by my sunglasses, it just looked like I had a tornado of hair on my head. I love the ocean breeze, but it likes to make my hair blow in 8 directions at once.

 

Attempt #2: We figured out if I held my head at certain spot and then let go of my hair on the count of 3....we could snap a pictures super fast before my tornado hir started. I think I'll just stick with the current picture I have up on my site :-)

THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM & DAD!!!  It was so fun, so relaxing and so perfect :-)  

ok- back to work!  I have to get a sneak peek ready for my shoot I did yesterday, I have a shoot this evening and then I still have lots more editing……oh and I have 2 cute nephews & 1 cute niece in town, so of course I need to play with them to :-)     

Here’s a fun little video from this morning.  I sound incredibly annoying and the sound of me messing with the focus is a lot louder than i thought it was.   I really haven’t done anything with the video feature on my camera- so I was just playing around with it….I obviously have NO idea what I’m doing when it comes to video :-)    Please note that Carson was not locked outside during the video- he prefers to be outside and comes & goes as he pleases.
