You like the current location thing? I thought it was funny :-) I would say at least 70% of my phone calls with friends and family start off with “where are you ?” So I’m just going to start putting it in each blog post title :-)
Tonight I have two 6-moth olds, a 1-year old a 18 month old and three 5 year olds to show off to you :-) I’ve come to realize that I now spend half my life trying to become friends with toddlers, making noises at babies trying to get them to smile and calming newborns down and convincing them that a basket is the most cozy place in the world. Ohhhhh what my life has come to! Actually- I find it to be quite fun :-) Quite fun and quite a bit of work. When you see someone with a giant camera, you typically try to avoid them (thanks you so much, it really does make me feel loved when you do that…) so you can imagine how hard I have to work to get any shots. Now toss in the fact that most of my clients are under 36″ tall, are known to have random outbursts of tears, sometimes wear diapers, generally don’t have a very large vocabulary and have a HUGE range of personalities…..now you’ve got some work cut out for you :-) You have to talk with them and kinda gauge if they’re quiet, loud, silly right from the start or slow to smile, if they’re interested in dinosaurs or trucks, if they like Dora or Mickey Mouse, if they prefer Belle or Cinderella, if they like peek-a-boo, if they think it’s hysterical when mom & dad do crazy dances behind me, if they think it’s funny when stuff gets put on my head, if I need to play “this little piggie” with them to get them used to me, if they think it’s funny when I fake sneeze, if it’s a baby that will laugh or lift their head when I click my tounge, if they like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star or if they like Itsy Bitsy Spider, etc……………….. all while making sure your camera settings are still spot on, your focus point is correct, your composition is good and making sure you don’t miss the moment.
Sometimes they’re super easy and find me h i l a r i o u s. Sometimes they look at me like I have 3 heads and sometimes…..sometimes they won’t even look at me. I always wonder what they think of me when we part ways at the end of the shoot :-)
How about some sneak peeks?!?!
This next one is a blooper shot that I had to share :-)

Pray that the rain holds off tomorrow for my day of shoots! Good Night :-)

Loving this sneak peek! That little William is a doll with his bubbles. It was fun to see Ryan and Jackson and his red wagon birthday pics are very perfect! I was thrilled to see Elia and Elise! Their eyes just sparkle. The Ritter triplets pictures are amazing! Love those dresses and little man at the end…loving that spike! I know a little blondie who used to sport a spike!;)
These are some of my favorite pictures ever!!!!!!!
