{Christmas Card FAIL}

Oh my poor mother.  I TOTALLY get where she was at this point.  You have this awesome vision in your head, you think it will be magical and you think it will be your best Christmas card yet.  You get all the kids together, have them go outside in the backyard while you go upstairs and stick your head out of a top floor window because it’s the perfect spot to take the picture from.  So you have your kids walk out into the freshly fallen snow (making them walk in each other’s foot steps as not to disturb the snow too much), direct them where to stand, then have them gently fall back and start making snow angels.  All your kids laughing, playing and  making snow angels while you take a picture of them from high above…  magical and perfect….right???

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

no.

Ended up looking more like we had been shot by a firing squad.

This is where I feel bad for my mom.  I get it.  It sucks when your grand ideas end up turning into….well…..into this picture below :-)

This next picture is from the year we took the banks tree from the Christmas Tree farm, hahahah!  It was a total accident and we didn’t know it was marked for them.   It was after the “bank christmas tree” year that my mom started measuring the trees to makesure we didn’t pick one that filled up our living room :-)

So now i have some sneak peeks for you :-)

Last week I went over and hung out with one of my Jacks :-)   I take pictures of like 15 Jacks, ha!   Jack Davis is so stinking cute.  I asked him if he wanted to play in front of the tree and in like 5 seconds…..he was full-on in the tree :-)

I stopped by the Bethel’s house on my way back to Kirksville to grab some quick Christmas Card pictures of the fam with their newest addition, Isaiah.  I thought he was a fake baby laying in his bouncy seat in his little santa outfit :-)  He’s seriously that cute and that perfect…..to the point where he looks like he could be one of those fake babies.   Sophie had me cracking up the whole time.  She had a fresh coat of lip gloss on and when I asked her to give Isaiah a kiss, she looked at me like I was crazy.  I told her, “dont worry, we’ll wipe off Isaiah’s face if the lip gloss gets on him.”   and she continued to look at me like I was crazy…..we soon found out that she was more worried about smearing her lip gloss and not so worried about getting it on Isaiah….such a girl :-)

Next up is the Hickman kiddos.   Perfect angels :-)    Annie wants to do a shoot sometime this Spring with all their cousins and I’m so excited.  I know Joey & Grace will totally go all out during an outside photo shoot.  They were hysterical in their quick, indoor shoot…..so I can only imagine :-)

This morning I met up with little Miss Laine for her 6 month pictures.  This little girl is F u n n y!!!    She pretty much refused to bend at the waist so we could have her sit up for her pictures and anytime we put her on her belly, she was SO close to full on crawling.   Between attempting to crawl, kicking her shoes off (and high up in the air) mid picture and doing her squinty smiley eyes, she had me laughing the whole time :-)  Enjoy your sneak peek Laine and I can’t wait to see you at your 1-year shoot!!!!

Added to my favorite list :-) Laine is only 6 months old....but she seems to think learning how to crawl is a better idea than learning how to sit up :-)

    I tell you, you must have talent or Laine is the most photgraphic little imp around. We have laughed each time we view them. She is such a munchcan.
