{Big Families are the best}

As much as big family shoots are a challenge, I love doing them.   I love watching the people interact :-)    Seeing who plays what role, watching the grandparents with the grand kids, watching the siblings together (sometimes they have little fights and it makes me laugh, ha!) , trying to figure out what’s going to get the kids to laugh, listening to the parents correct their kids smiles, kinda being able to see  reflections on the LCD screen of all the parents behind me acting completely crazy to get one smile from the one kid who decided to find NO ONE funny on photo shoot day (there’s always one of them, ha!) , etc.   I really do need to start taping my shoots.   The lengths I’ll go to…..the lengths the parents will go to…..it’s borderline crazy!   I promise trips to Disney World for a smile :-)

Both the famillies below were AWESOME for their shoots (kids included, hahah!) and I had such a blast reconnecting with one family (their from Kirksville) and getting to know the other.  Lots of sweet moments captured :-)

Had a quote at my shoot this evening that I never thought I’d hear…….

So…..I’m taking pictures at this clients house and I was sitting on the ground.  I put my hand out to the side to scoot over and I thought I had put my hand in mud.  I totally ignored it because, well, I get really dirty during photo shoots and getting mud on my hand doesn’t phase me.   After a few seconds, I’m like, “I think I might have just put my hand in dog poop, sat in dog poop or stepped in it!”  the smell is very strong and I’m quite certain it’s some where on me.   Colleen (the mom) was like, “I don’t see anything on your back……oh wait, there is a smudge.”   and she bends over to smell it. hahahahah!   She doesn’t think it’s dog poop and she call’s her husband over.  Next quote…..”I’m not smelling her butt.”

hahahahahahah!

I’m pretty certain it was dog poop and I think it’s what was on my hand.  LUCKILY it was my left hand ( I shoot with my right) and after we finished up that setting, I rushed inside and SCRUBBED my hands.   Then I got home and took a shower :-)
